TalkTalk are one of the UK’s largest providers of wholesale connectivity, and are well-regarded within the channel. They offer businesses the flexibility, agility, and support they need to stand out from the competition and increase revenue. In November 2022, they joined forces with Virtual1, with an ambition to leverage the power of connectivity and utilise new technologies to meet the ever-changing demands of the industry.
TalkTalk Wholesale Services and Virtual1 are two iconic brands, each with their own distinctive style and tone-of-voice. They were looking to inspire their partners, showing how they can use connectivity to enhance their portfolio and enter new markets. And they wanted to showcase their successful, flourishing partnership by presenting their combined brands together. To make this happen, they needed to make a splash. That’s where we came in.
We designed, developed, and delivered an event in the heart of London to connect TalkTalk Wholesale Services and Virtual1 in a more meaningful way than ever before.
Taking place on May 23rd 2023, the event ran, theatre-style, from midday through to the early evening. Our ambition was to illustrate the huge impact this merger could have.
Throughout the day we helped tell the story of their partnership. This included a prestigious award ceremony, recognising key players in the partnership as well as the wider industry. We also heard from industry experts, who shed light on key areas of growth in the market, and how the landscape is evolving.
We crafted messages based around the concept of ‘boundless momentum’ — highlighting the partnership’s relentless drive for progress, and the limitless possibilities connectivity offers.

Our designers conceived a bold, sophisticated, and vibrant visual style which was applied meticulously across the event. Chevron shapes were implemented across assets to encapsulate the concepts of ‘guidance’ and ‘momentum’, whilst also doubling as a directional tool throughout the event space.
From stunning signage and snappy showreels to branded brochures, awards, lanyards, notebooks, pens, and everything in between — we didn’t miss an opportunity to deliver on our message. And to seal the event’s success, our copy team crafted social posts, emails, and other promotional assets.
Event collateral
Our work on the project delivered a £3.6m increase in revenue for our client – a 15% rise in run rate. The event was oversubscribed, with the team exceeding the number of target registrations. And those who did manage to get the hottest ticket in town left feeling informed, engaged, and excited for the future.
Most importantly we gave TalkTalk Wholesale Services and Virtual1 a night befitting of their new partnership. With expert speakers, panel discussions and an award ceremony highlighting inspiring work within the industry, we helped show everyone in attendance the power of a connected future.
